Fire Destroys Part of Southlake Mansion
A late night fire destroyed part of a mansion at 525 W. Highland St. in Southlake last week. Investigators have not identified an ignition source for the fire but estimate damages at $500,000, said Fire Marshal David Barnes.

City Closes Two Boat Ramps as Lake Levels Drop
The city of Grapevine has closed two public boat ramps at Grapevine Lake because the lake level has dropped six feet below normal. Rainfall in the last several months has been below normal. The lake is used for municipal water by Dallas-area cities and by Grapevine.
