Meet the Biddle Family!

ily_-_Southlake_Family_of_the_Month_Nov_2008.jpg

The Biddle family has been in the Southlake area for 2 years. Bryan grew up in Oklahoma and is a OSU grad, while his wife Trish was born in Minneapolis and migrated South to graduate from the Art Institute of Dallas. They married in 1996 and bought their first home on Lake Lewisville. Bryan in IT and Trish a freelance artist aspiring to be a Fine art Painter, lived a dream life of working out of their lake house and spending their freetime on a boat watching the sunsets eventually found themselves wanting to broaden their horizons. In 2003, Chloe Anne Biddle was born and everything changed. 2 years later here comes lil' sister Claire. Things changed even more.

Realizing they had to reconsider their life style for the future of their daughters, Bryan and Trish decided to relocate. They've heard so much about the wonderful schools of Southlake and Westlake academy and pursued the path of a better education for their girls. Not sure what to do next, rented a home in Keller for a year, then Westlake another, Bryan took a leap of faith and purchase a 1 acre lot in an air park community that came available. So they've gone from yacht clubs to airstrips! This past August, Chloe age 5, started Kindergarten at the beautiful Westlake Academy, which only a year ago was an idea. Lil' Claire age 3 attends PSE Preschool Enrichment in Southlake.

With the building of their new home in progress and the education for the girls settled, things are starting to make sense. Putting down roots and becoming part of the community is important for their family. The home includes a studio where Trish will continue to create and be inspired as Bryan commutes as a Senior Systems Engineer for GMAC.

Last summer, Trish's career path took another turn on a national level as she was chosen to be the Official Artist of the 2008 Kentucky Derby. Things started to snowball after that and she will be painting Live at Madison Square Garden in February 2009 as the Official artist of the Westminster Dog show. She is also the featured artist for GSWS's First Annual Festival of Trees at Southlake Town Square November 21-23. To read more about Trish's art, go to http://www.trishbiddle.com/.
