S.P.A.R.K. Meeting - July 22nd - 7pm
Students and Parents Against Risks to our Kids (S.P.A.R.K.) with its mission of sparking ideas, sharing information, identifying needs, educating the community, mobilizing resources, promoting collaboration and advocating for sound public policy in a new commitment to empower our citizens in the battle agains underage drinking, drugs, and internet perils. SPARK welcomes you whether you can only attend an occassional meeting, or want to get heavily involved in making a change for our youth.
Come meet some of our Officers and hear about summer safety issues, what is going on after dark in Town Square and what our Officers are seeing during the summer in our own community ......... information you need to know !!
SPARKS will hold it's monthly meeting on 07-22-2008 in the Southlake Town Hall 3rd floor conference room.
SPIN Meeting - July 28th - 6:30pm
SPIN will host a Citywide meeting regarding gas drilling. Recently the Southlake City Council revised the City's Oil & Gas Ordinance. The changes are the results of months of work by the City Council and the City Staff.
The meeting will focus on public education and safety. Representatives from local operators and the City will be available to answer questions. The Meeting is held in Town Hall in the Council Chambers.
SPIN (Southlake Program for the Involvement of Neighborhoods) is a nonpartisan, City Council-appointed volunteer organization comprised of representatives from 16 geographic areas within the City of Southlake. The purpose of SPIN is to provide a vehicle for facilitating communication between residents and the City staff. As many of you are aware, SPIN sponsors area meetings to address issues pertinent to that specific area.
