Mayor Wambsganss, myself and my fellow City Council members have asked the City Staff to start the budgeting process for a Southlake Community Center. Many Cities have these Centers which serve teens as well as adult groups. Many of you have moved here from Cities with very successful Community Centers and many of you have an opinion on what works.

The Council feels our organization, S.P.A.R.K. would be able to make recommendations as to what needs of our young people could be met by a new Community Center. I am thrilled that we have been asked to be part of the process.

I am asking you to please let me know if you would like to be part of this S.P.A.R.K. task force. I know many families are on vacation but please let me know whenever you get this email !  I will plan a separate meeting for this task force once I get everyone's name.
