Stage 2 drought restrictions are now in effect for the City of Southlake.

“The City experienced three days of low water levels in all three storage tanks which serve the majority of the City, “said Public Works Director Bob Price. “That was the trigger to commence Stage 2 of the Drought Contingency Plan which calls for mandatory watering restrictions through out the city.”

The initiation conditions of Stage 2 restrictions are outlined in the Drought Contingency Ordinance No. 662-C. Stage 2 restrictions will remain in effect until further notice.

“For residents and businesses this means following a mandatory lawn and landscape irrigation schedule,” said Price. “The City of Southlake is requesting that the installation of all new lawn and landscapes be delayed until all watering restrictions are lifted.”
