Dr. Chancellor, a Southlake resident, retired educator, and experienced naturalist and birder. He is also the founder of the Southlake Ornithological Society. Both novices and advanced birders can benefit from the tips on where and when to look for birds and how to hone your identification skills.

The presentation will feature the natural history of birds, their role in our urban ecosystems, conflicts that can arise between wildlife and humans, and helpful tips we can all use to better coexist with our backyard neighbors. The DFW Wildlife Coalition's mission is to educate residents and help them cope with unexpected wild neighbors.

SPIN will host a Citywide meeting to discuss the proposed construction of a Safety Town to educate school children on various safety issues such as bicycle safety, street crossing (pedestrian safety), bus safety, fire, extreme weather and internet safety.

This facility will be located immediately west of the DPS West Facility at the corner of FM 1938 (Davis Blvd.) and SH 1709 (Southlake Blvd.).
