Get into the holiday spirit this season with one of North Texas’ premier charitable events – the 2nd Annual Festival of Trees hosted by members of the Greater Southlake Women's Society.

This fundraiser will benefit eleven philanthropies in Northeast Tarrant County. The mayor of Southlake, John Terrell, stated "The Festival of Trees allows our community to shine as we come together during the holiday season to help those less fortunate than us." The 2009 Festival of Trees will take place at The Hilton Hotel in Southlake Town Square on November 20-22. Greater Southlake Women's Society, is a non-profit 501 (c) 4 organization and a member of the Texas Federation of Women's Clubs in Austin, TX and the General Federation of Women’s Clubs in Washington, DC.

The 3-day Festival of Trees, presented by Park Place Motorcars of Bedford, is a public display of professionally designed holiday trees, tabletop décor, wreaths, and unique items. In addition, the official 2009 Festival of Trees artwork by internationally renowned and local artist, Trish Biddle will be on display. The Gallery at the Hilton Hotel will serve as a backdrop for an array of events for the entire community, culminating with the City of Southlake and Southlake Town Square's Tree-Lighting Event on Saturday, November 21. On Friday, November 20, from 10:30am - 1:00pm, the Fashion Luncheon will begin your holiday shopping! This Fashion Show & Luncheon extravaganza will not only highlight the season's latest styles in men and women's clothing and accessories, but will feature a dazzling array of holiday must-have gifts and holiday décor for your home. Admission to the Fashion Luncheon is $40 per person.

That night, step into a magical evening with the Glitter Gala. The Season gets underway with the area's newest sought-after evening affair. Scrumptious food, festive spirits and fabulous entertainment and auction make for a magical evening. Admission to the Glitter Gala is $75 per person or $125 per couple.

Saturday will be a day set aside for children that will start with Breakfast with Santa and Radio Disney, from 9:00am-11:00am. Sure to delight children young and old, this breakfast event will become a cherished holiday tradition for the entire family. In addition to photo opportunities with Santa, Radio Disney will also be there with activities designed to entertain and awe. Admission to the Breakfast is $20 per child and $10 per adult.

Mark your calendar for the Gallery Open House on November 21 from 1:00pm - 4:00pm and November 22 from 12:00 -300 pm. Entice your decorating taste buds just in time for your holiday parties. Admission is $5 for ages 12+ and $1 for those 12 and under.
