Mayor Proclaims September as Polycystic Kidney Disease Awareness Month
On September 26, 2009, walkers across the country and beyond will be particpating in the Annual Walk for PKD (Polycystic Kidney Disease). Teams are being formed now for the walk. To register for the event, visit www.pkdcure.org or call Carolyn Morris, North Texas Walk Chairperson at 817-488-6650.
In honor of this event, Mayor John Terrell presented a Proclaimation to two local children affected by the disease and their parents to proclaim September 2009 as Polycystic Kidney Disease Awareness Month.
