Relay For Life of Southlake - May 21st - 22nd, 2010

In the spirit of Rachel's Challenge, Carroll ISD is planning the community's first American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Southlake, May 21-22, 2010. Relay for Life is an inspirational event honoring and remembering those who have been diagnosed with cancer. Teams sign up to walk in honor of a cancer survivor; a special luminaria program honors the memory of those lost to cancer. Teams camp out at the Relay for Life grounds, taking turns walking the track throughout the night. Kick-off events will include games, bounce houses, entertainment and more. Student groups are encouraged to participate by forming teams, raising funds, attending the event and performing on stage. Cancer survivors are the special guests of the event and will participate in opening ceremonies as well as a hospitality event.
