Bob Jones Nature Center Offers Summer Evening Programs
Enjoy early summer evenings at the Bob Jones Nature Center and Preserve with a series of programs for all ages. The Nature Center and Preserve is located at 355 E. Bob Jones Road, Southlake, TX 76092.
Parents can bring out their toddlers (2-3 years old) on Tuesdays from 4:30 to 5:30 to share and explore a nature experience together during the “Discovery Tot Treks.” The children will use all their senses to begin learning about the natural world as they discover butterflies, wildflowers, pond life, insects, and much more. The fee is $5 per child; parents are free. (Toddlers must be accompanied by at least one parent or adult guardian.)
From 6:00 to 7:30pm on Tuesdays, families can come out for a Nature adventure. Each week will be a new theme and craft project. Children must pre-register with at least one adult. Family fee of $24 is for immediate family members only.
On Thursday nights from 4:30 to 6:00pm youth ages 4 to 10 are invited to attend the Young Naturalist Discovery Classes and enjoy and learn from a variety of activities – games, crafts, songs, hikes and experiments. Fees are $16 per youth. The Thursday Dusky Trails programs start at 6:30pm. The Dusky Trail hikes are free but participants must pre-register and children must be pre-register with at least one adult.
