Our Great City

Every 10 years, the U.S. Census Bureau counts every person residing in the United States, as mandated by Article 1, Section 2 of the U.S. Constitution. This year’s effort is being called the “Take 10 Challenge,” with the 10 survey questions taking about 10 minutes to complete. Forms are scheduled to be delivered to homes March 15-17 and should be returned no later than April 15.

Our participation in the Census is crucial, as an accurate count of the local population helps ensure a fair share of federal funding for services such as health care, education and roads. Information is used only for the purpose of demographic information of the census, and is not kept on file. For information on the Census, visit http://www.2010.census.gov/.
