At Reading Friends, we believe that a young child’s early exposure to a complete preschool environment leads to cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth. Our curriculum includes:

Preparing a child for Kindergarten entails more than learning the alphabet and recognizing shapes. At Reading Friends, we prepare the whole child for lifelong learning. Ours is a culture and educational climate in which increased emphasis is placed on preschool development and social readiness.

The following programs are offered during our school year from September through May. All of our teachers are degreed and certified in the Reading Friends curriculum.

Developmental – 2 year olds – Reading Friends teaches the fundamentals necessary for academic development and encourages a love for school and learning.

Primary – 3 year olds - The children in the Primary program at Reading Friends receive Language, Math, Art, Gross Motor and free play.

Pre-K – 4 year olds – Children in this program receive Language, Math, Art, Gross Motor, Science, Social Studies and free play.

Kindergarten – The Kindergarten program at Reading Friends is a Monday – Friday class schedule that is designed for children that turn 5 by September 1st. These children receive individualized instruction and small classroom to teacher ratios to maximize their potential for academic success. Strong phonics and decoding skills, increased vocabulary, reading fluency and comprehension are included in the Language Arts. Math, Science, Social Studies, Art, Gross Motor, Spanish and free play are also a part of the multi sensory program.
