Dr. Timothy Huckabee will host a free dental care event through Dentistry From The Heart (DFTH) supporting Tarrant County residents by providing free dental services to the community.

The team of dental professionals at Huckabee Dental will provide adult patients with a free extraction, filling or cleaning. There will also be several hygienists, dental assistants and other dental professionals donating their time and resources, in order to provide free dental care to as many residents in need as possible. This DFTH event will donate thousands of dollars in free dental care and provide much needed relief to people in need in the community.

Summer Santa Presents "Tribute to Love Concert"

Let Summer Santa and Paul Salos, America’s Got Talent Finalist, entertain and help you spread a little love for Valentine’s Day on February 12, 2012 at the Palace Arts Center in Grapevine, TX, Paul Salos will perform a tribute concert to love and Frank Sinatra. Paul Salos, will seduce the audience with Frank Sinatra’s style, charisma, popularity, and most of “the voice”. He was wowed audiences from Paris to Las Vegas performing Sinatra’s signature vocal and musical numbers.

The evening for love will start at 6pm with a reception catered by Cotton Patch Café in the Lancaster Theatre. At 7pm the concert will begin in the Palace Arts Center.

All proceeds from the event will benefit Summer Santa, the largest children’s charity in Northeast Tarrant County. Summer Santa provides area children with summer camp scholarships, back to school clothes, books/toys, seasonal soccer activities and medical physicals. Since 1997, Summer Santa has made an impact in the lives of more than 35,000 children. Summer Santa is proud to be an all volunteer charity with no paid staff or office expenses.

National Charity League (NCL) of Southlake Annual Fashion Show & Benefit

The Southlake Chapter of the National Charity League (NCL) is pleased to announce its upcoming Annual Fashion Show and Benefit. The 2012 event will take place on Sunday, March 4, 2012, at 3pm at the DFW Westin Hotel.

This is the chapter's primary fundraiser and last year $60,000 was given to local charities. This year's charity recipients are: GRACE, Metroport Meals on Wheels, Christmas is for Children, the Battered Women's Foundation, and Summer Santa.

The models for the show are Junior and Senior girls and boys and they will showcase fashions from several local retailers.

Dallas Symphony Orchestra Performing at White'sChapel UMC

The APEX Arts League, in conjunction with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, announces a special performance by the Dallas Symphony Orchestra at 7:30 p.m. March 8, 2012 at White’s Chapel United Methodist Church in Southlake.

The DSO concert will feature two popular works, the Symphony No. 3, Eroica by Beethoven and the Clarinet Concerto by Mozart, with Gregory Raden, the DSO’s Principal Clarinet, as soloist. The concert will be conducted by Paul Phillips, music director of the Meadows Symphony Orchestra at Southern Methodist University.

The concert is part of the on-going APEX Presents 2011-2012 concert season. The DSO last performed in Southlake in June, 2008.
