2010 Fort Worth Alliance Air Show
he 2010 Fort Worth Alliance Air Show presented by Bell Helicopter will be held on October 30 and 31 at Fort Worth Alliance Airport. This year's event features the first North Texas demonstration performance of the F-22 Raptor, which is manufactured by locally based Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company. With the U.S. Navy Blue Angels, this year's show also is highlighted by the only performance by a major U.S. military jet team in North Texas in 2010. In addition the Indy Boys Jet Outhouse and Jet School Bus will be making their first appearance at the air show.
This year's lineup also includes the U.S. Army Golden Knights Parachute Team, The F-16 Viper East Coast Demonstration Team, the Horsemen P-51 Mustang Aerobatic Team, the Warbirds of the Cavanaugh Museum, Randy Ball of Mabank, Texas in the vintage Soviet MiG 17, Dallas' Jan Collmer in the FINA Extra 300L, Michael Goulian and the Extra 330, Greg Poe in the ethanol-powered Fagen MX2, and Team Oracle featuring Sean Tucker.
World renowned air show announcer Danny "Skytalker" Clisham will narrate the show. Air show veteran Ralph Royce will once again command the skies as the Air Boss.
The event also will feature static display of numerous military and civilian aircraft. For children young and old, there is the Kids Zone, featuring the world's tallest inflatable slide and several flight simulators.
Gates open at 9 a.m. with performances beginning at 10 a.m. and running until late afternoon. Admission is free. Parking is $20 per vehicle.
