
IHOP National Pancake Day in Southlake
February 23, 2010
Mayor John Terrell issued a proclamation while participating in IHOP and Shriners Hospital for Children’s National Pancake Celebration. Participating IHOP restaurants, including the Southlake location at Hwy 114 and Southlake Boulevard, were giving away free short stacks of pancakes from 7am until 10pm, while inviting customers to donate to Shriners Hospital for Children.

Kids Matter International – "Fruit of the Wine Event"

KMI is vested in Roatan Island, Honduras and in India providing much needed help to the abused and/or abandoned children in these desperate places. KMI also is making a difference in our own backyard too. The Clothe-a-Child program celebrated its 20th year of its grass roots efforts, and with a new KMI partnership they had their best year ever, even in one of history's worst economies. On September 26, 2009, walkers across the country and beyond particpated in the Annual Walk for PKD (Polycystic Kidney Disease). The North Texas Walk was held in Rustin Park at Southlake Town Square.
