Free iParenting Seminar for Parents
Do you have a child transitioning from middle school to high school? This move can be daunting for students and an upcoming one-day seminar will be offered to help parents who are dealing with this challenge.
The free seminar will be held Saturday, Aug. 14 from 8:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. at 24:7 Youth Conference Center in North Richland Hills (located at 6300 NE Loop 820). Lunch will be provided.
Carroll, Birdville, Keller and Northwest school districts, Fort Worth Christian and the 24:7 staff and counselors want to help alleviate some of the stress experienced by parents and students making the transition. Breakout sessions will be available and topics include academic planning, substance abuse prevention, cyber-bullying, technology and media and much more. The sessions will be conducted by trained counselors from each of the school districts. Two main sessions will also be provided that give an overview of the adolescent world.
