Press Release From the Southlake Department of Public Safety

The City of Southlake incurred a minor construction set back prior to the previously released red light camera warning period date. This warning period applies to the monitored intersections of FM 1709 (Southlake Blvd.) at Pearson Lane and SH 114 at Gateway Drive.

After a weekend long test run to ensure that the cameras are operating properly, the official 30-day warning period begins Today, July 28th. Again, during the 30-day warning period, red light violators will only receive warning notices unless the offense occurs within view of a police officer. After the warning period violators will be held liable to the City for a civil penalty of $75.00. After August 28, upon receiving a notice of violation, violators will have 35 calendar days to respond.
