S.P.A.R.K. Event - April 28, 2009 - An Event for Parents and Teens
Brooks Powell from the Gordie Foundation is coming to Southlake!
18 year old Gordie died after being left to "sleep it off" just 3 weeks into his freshman year at the University of Colorado. Are our kids prepared to navigate situations they are not ready for ????
Many Southlake families are spending hours preparing their kids for College academics but what about the Social Situations and Temptations ?????
Please Join S.P.A.R.K. at Southlake Town Hall, 3rd floor, Tuesday the 28th at 7pm.
Teens are welcome (13 and above) and those that attend can receive COMMUNITY SERVICE HOURS!!
**Students and Parents Against Risks to our Kids (S.P.A.R.K.) with its mission of sparking ideas, sharing information, identifying needs, educating the community, mobilizing resources, promoting collaboration and advocating for sound public policy in a new commitment to empower our citizens in the battle agains underage drinking, drugs, and internet perils.
