Nannies On The Go started with the passion of a Southlake Mom trying to find the right childcare for her three children. As a former manager of television stations for 15 years, she was relocated numerous times, moving with her family, twice while pregnant, to different cities. Each time, Sharon was expected to immerse herself in the new position immediately. Often, her biggest challenge was searching for the best possible caregivers in an unfamiliar community with no available family connections – a very time consuming and lengthy task. Talk about stress!

“When I was worried about my children’s overall well-being, my stress level increased, and I have no doubt that my work was compromised,” Sharon recalls. “But when I was confident that my children were under the best care possible and doing well in school, working long hours proved rewarding and manageable.”

Our commitment is this: “When you contact us seeking a nanny or tutor, we understand the significance of your request. We will provide a trusted, caring person dedicated to your children… so you can rest assured that the most important people in your life are confidently and securely poised for success.”

Southlake is the home base and the offices can be found across from Anderson’s furniture on Southlake Boulevard. Our staff is happy to come to your home or office and review profiles of potential caregivers. There is no fee at all for our services until we successfully place a Nanny in your home.

Having a nanny allows a parent to have more control over the type of care their child or children receive and to direct the activities that they feel are important for the child. If there is more than one child in the family, the parent will find that the cost of private in-home care is not significantly more than that of other forms of childcare.

We would be honored to help! Please feel free to call us anytime. We have a 24-7 call center for any questions and all emergencies!

Business of the Month - December 2009 - Jake's Loft

Jake’s Loft, Southlake’s Life is good® Genuine Neighborhood Shoppe, started with the Arnn’s desire to provide family and friends with optimistic, unique and wholesome gifts during the holiday season. From there the desire mushroomed into the most unique apparel store in the Southlake area.

During their vacations, Dyane Arnn and her husband Lynn started noticing tee shirts and ball caps with a curious stick-fiugred character sporting an award-winning smile accompanied by a cute sidekick dog. The brand was Life is good® and the messages on their hats and tee shirts fit nicely with Dyane and Lynn’s approach to life – optimistic, active, and fun-loving. Initially, Dyane did her Christmas shopping online, but craved something more. She wanted to be able to touch, feel and absorb the message of the Life is good® brand in person rather than over the internet. She didn’t realize it at the time, but Dyane was searching for a Life is good® Genuine Neighborhood Shoppe. After two years of buying Life is good Christmas gifts online, Dyane began noticing that Life is good Genuine Neighborhood Shoppes were popping up across the United States – primarily on the east coast and in California. She noticed that there wasn’t a single store anywhere close to her in the Dallas area. She saw a market and immediately the creative juices started to percolate in her brain…what if? Dyane kept thinking about how well the brand would fit with the active moms and families that are so prevalent in the Southlake, Keller and Colleyville area. She thought about how badly this area needed a retailer that could offer a positive wholesome product to its customers. Then she thought…Why can’t I be the one that fills the need?

Dyane and Lynn’s vision for Jake’s Loft is to be more than an apparel retailer. Their vision is to spread optimism and goodwill in the community through the sale of Life is good® products, in-store holiday events and charitable outreach. You will often see a pack of beautiful Golden Retrievers looking for a forever home in front of Jake’s Loft or a group of marathon hopefuls attending a Leukemia Society’s Team in Training Information Meeting inside the store. The times we live in are challenging, but we can all look at the little things in our lives and be reminded that life really is good and is worth celebrating. Remember that it’s the little things that are really the big things. We are so often reminded what’s wrong in our world. “Don’t knock something, build something” is the message that Dyane and Lynn want their community to hear when they step into Jake’s Loft or when they see a neighbor wearing a Life is good tee shirt.

Jake’s Loft is filled with an amazing selection of Life is good® apparel, including a wide selection especially created for the Holidays. They are famous for their ultra soft and fun pajama sets which always go fast at Christmas. Customers will buy pajama sets for the entire family to wear in their Christmas photos and greeting cards. You can often find a Jake’s Loft customer walking out with 5-10 pajama sets under their arm. Lynn comments, “Our customers usually share their Life is good® group photographs with us, and we post them on the Jake’s Loft Facebook page. Our Facebook page is a fantastic medium through which we can exchange information and good vibes with our customers. Follow us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/jakesloft.”

The other big holiday seller is the Life is good Snuggle Socks. “Your foot has not lived until it is draped in the velvety goodness of a pair of Life is good snuggle socks. You really must spoil your feet!” says Dyane.

“We love the business we are in, says Dyane. We love being able to share a better approach to life with our community. We love seeing our customers’ smiles and hearing how Life is good products have made their lives better. Stop in and say hello the next time you are in the area or post a comment on our Facebook page!

Life is good…Simple as that!

Business of the Month - July 2009 - Coal Vines Pizza & Wine Bar

Coal Vines is the newest concept developed by Joseph Palladino. It is a casual neighborhood restaurant that is reminiscent of Mr. Palladino’s upbringing in New York. Coal Vine’s is a specialty pizzeria complemented by a full menu and a small, but select wine list that is synonymous with quality and also a reasonable price point.

Business of the Month - June 2009 - babybliss

As a first time pregnant mother-to-be, Carrie Barnard, owner of babybliss, felt like she was being thrown into the mass market of baby land it was simply overwhelming. She didn't know where to shop or what to buy. One thing that she did know was that she did not want to compromise my style or home to generic strollers and plaid highchairs! Finding the best items took an endless amount of research and many costly mistakes.
